Lamp Turning Goniophotometer T1

The Goniophotometer T1 with device to turn the light source is a highly precise photometer for the measurement of light distributions of luminaires and lamps.

The Goniophotometer T1 allows measurements either in the C-Gamma measuring system, typical for indoor and street lighting luminaires, or in the V-H (B-ß) one, typical for floodlights: so any kind of luminaire and lamp can be considered. Some sophisticated software features allow to convert one measurement from one system to the other.

Characteristics
The Goniophotometer T1 is realized in accordance with:

  • EN 13.032 Norm type 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3
  • Recommendation CIE n.70 (Goniophotometer with Facility for Turning the Light Source) type 2 and 3.

Maximum dimensions of the luminaires to be measured:

  • weight: kg 20
  • dimensions: mm 1600x300x200

Lamp Turning Goniophotometer T2

The Goniophotometer T2, with device to turn the light source, is a highly precise photometer for the measurement of light distributions of luminaires and lamps.

The Goniophotometer T2 allows measurements either in the C-Gamma measuring system, typical for indoor and street lighting luminaires, or in the V-H (B-ß) one, typical for floodlights: so any kind of luminaire and lamp can be considered. Some sophisticated software features allow to convert one measurement from one system to the other.

Characteristics
The Goniophotometer T2 is realized in accordance with:

  • EN 13.032 Norm type 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3
  • Recommendation CIE n.70 Chapt.5 Type 1 and 2 (Goniophotometer with Facility for Turning the Light Source).

Maximum dimensions of the luminaires to be measured:

  • weight: kg 50
  • dimensions: mm 2000x800x400

Photometer Head Turning Goniophotometer T3

The Goniophotometer T3 is a high precision and reliability photometer for measuring the distribution of luminous intensity of small scale lamps and luminaires, mainly LED ones.

Characteristics
The Goniophotometer T3 is realized in accordance with EN 13.032 Norm type 2.1, correponding to Recommendation CIE n.70 Chapt.6 Type 1 (Goniophotometer with Facility for Turning the Photometer Head).

Maximum dimensions of the luminaires and lamps to be measured:

  • Weight: kg 10
  • Dimensions: diameter mm 100, height mm 15

Mirror Goniophotometer T4

The Mirror Goniophotometer T4 is a high precision and reliability photometer for measuring the distribution of luminous intensity of lamps and lighting fittings for interiors, floodlighting and roads.

The system is fully automatic and uses robot technology for effecting motion which allows the transmission of movement without chains, often the cause of undesired clearances. This characteristic makes it the first of its kind worldwide.

The robot technology, along with high precision encoders and latest generation clearance-free reducers, guarantees perfect positioning with imperceptible vibrations.

The Goniophotometer T4 allows measurement according to systems:
- C-Gamma typical of interior and road luminaires (measurements according to CIE Recommendations 24 and 27)
- V-H (B-Beta) typical of floodlights (measurements according to CIE Recommendation 43)

Measurement is also possible on conical surfaces.

Characteristics
The Goniophotometer T4 is realized in accordance with:

  • EN 13.032 type 3.1
  • Recommendation CIE n.70 Chapt.7 (Mirror Goniophotometer).

Maximum dimensions of the luminaires to be measured:

  • weight: kg 50
  • dimensions: mm 2000x1000x400

Goniophotometer - gonio'2pi and gonio'4pi

opsira's goniophotometers record angular dependent photometric parameters around a light source, a luminaire, a detector or a material sample. We offer uniaxial In-Plane goniophotometers as well as 3D-goniophotometers up to 4-axis. The compact construction of our goniophotometer type gonio'2pi allows a measurement of the hemisphere. The 4-axis goniometer even enables a fully automated complete measurement of an anisotropic scatter sample. The gonio'4pi is available for full sphere measurements without turning the sample. About 99,5% of the complete 4π solid angle can be measured. All goniophotometer types work with an angular accuracy of 0,0001º.

The solid construction as well as the direct drive concept introduced and consequently implemented by opsira guarantees a very high accuracy and precision from our goniometer systems. Photometers and radiometers, the luca luminance measurement systems, the spectral measurement systems spec'3 and SPR'3 as well as high-quality photomultipliers are available as detectors.

Gonio'2pi-mini - The compact near-field goniophotometer

The fast-paced world of LEDs demands actual light source data for detailed optics simulations. Besides the datasheet parameters, ray data play an increasingly important role in optics simulations with respect to the small size and the narrow distance between the optics and the light source. opsira's gonio'2pi-mini is a compact system at a favourable price for measuring ray data mono- and polychromatically.

gonio'2pi-mini provides all possibilities its big brother gonio'2pi offers, however at a clearly smaller size. The dark box option enables the operation of gonio'2pi-mini outside of the dark lab. gonio'2pi-mini uses the same high-quality opsira detectors as the "big" goniometers of the gonio'2pi series and the robogonio series. The modular system of detector adapters makes a fast and precise change of the detector systems possible.

Goniophotometer robogonio - The new generation of goniophotometers

Fusion of industrial robotics and optics design

With the new, multifunctional goniophotometer robogonio a new era of goniophotometry has started. The high flexibility of the solid industrial robot combines several goniophotometertypes and light measurement applications into one single high-precision system. Luminous intensity distributions of luminaires in the far field (Eulumdat, IES, etc.), ray data of light sources in the near field, angle-dependent luminance information (glare etc.) or scanning measurement system, the goniophotometer robogonio does it all in one device! With the same precision conventional goniometers show - certified by the Technical Service for Testing of Lighting Devices "TÜV".

"robogonio is completely state-of-the-art and due to its construction offers a nice finishing touch – extremely wide scope at and an extraordinary cost-performance ratio", so General Manager Juergen P. Weisshaar.

The goniophotometer robogonio can serve as goniospectrometer as well, depending on the configuration. Besides the geometrical flexibility the use of the solid industrial robot is advantageous in respect of scalability, reliability and asset protection - worldwide.
