Nonlinear Crystals
EKSMA OPTICS offers a wide selection of nonlinear optical crystals. Various nonlinear optical crystals including Lithium Triborate (LBO), Beta Barium Borate (BBO), Potassium Titanyl Phosphate (KTP), Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate & Potassium Dideuterium Phosphate (KDP & DKDP), Lithium Iodate (LiIO3), Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3) and infrared nonlinear optical crystals (AgGaS2, AgGaSe2, GaSe, ZnGeP2) with given standard sizes and orientations are available for fast off-the-shelf delivery. However inquiries for custom made nonlinear optical crystal are also welcome. Nonlinear optical crystals are used in wide range of optical frequency conversion applications including laser harmonic generations (SHG, THG, 4HG), sum or difference frequency generation (SFG, DFG) and optical parametric generation, amplification or oscillation (OPG, OPA, OPO). Some nonlinear crystals for instance DKDP, BBO and KTP also possess electro-optical properties which make them useful for electro-optical applications - Q-switching or electro-optical amplitude modulation.
Beta Barium Borate - BBO is a nonlinear optical crystal with combination of a number of unique features: wide transparency region, broad phase-matching range, large nonlinear coefficient, high damage threshold.
LBO is a nonlinear optical crystal with combination of a number of unique features: Wide transparency region, Broad Type 1 and Type 2 non-critical phase-matching (NCPM) range, Small walk-off angle, High damage threshold.
Non Critical Phase Matching Kit includes temperature controller TC1, oven CO1-30 and LBO crystal.

Applications: Laser frequency conversion; harmonic generation for high pulse energy, low repetition (<100 Hz) rate lasers; Electro-optical modulation; Q-switching crystal for Pockels cells.
KTP (KTiOPO4) is a nonlinear optical crystal, which possesses excellent nonlinear, electrooptical and acoustooptical properties.
Due to their unique features, optical nonlinear IR crystals like ZnGeP2, AgGaSe2, AgGaS2, GaSe have gained tremendous interest for the middle and deep infrared applications. The IR crystals have large effective optical nonlinearity.
